Midsouth Forestry Services is a family-owned business located in Gordo, Alabama. The business was founded in 1985 by Dale Lancaster to help private landowners manage and protect their timberland in Alabama and Mississippi.

Dale has always had a love and respect for the outdoors, recognizing the need to be good stewards of one of the most important resources we have: the land.

He began his career with a large timberland company before founding Midsouth, giving him over 40 years of experience in forestry and real estate. He is a registered forester in Mississippi and has his brokerage license in Alabama and Mississippi.

40 years later, Dale continues to provide the best service surrounded by a team that shares his vision, including his son, John. John joined the company in 2017 after graduating from Auburn University with a bachelor’s in biosystems engineering and a master’s in forestry. He is a registered forester in Alabama and Mississippi.
